The Claymore Inn & Suites is located in Antigonish, the “Highland Heart of Nova Scotia”, in the Northumberland Shore region. This charming town is ideally positioned between Cape Breton and Halifax and hosts the longest running Scottish Highland Games held outside of Scotland. Our hotel is just minutes away from the event. We’re also in close proximity to the local festivals, restaurants, shops, beaches, hiking trails, golf, museums and art galleries. Our accommodations include air-conditioned hotel units with a 4-piece bath, streaming optimized television, phone and wifi. Cots are available for a fee, and playpens are available at no extra charge. Guest amenities include an indoor heated pool, sauna, hot-tub, microwaves, mini-fridges, and keurig coffeemakers. Room lamps provide extra usb-charging ports. Our dining room, “Justamere Cafe”, is open Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Other features include a picnic area, as well as air-conditioned banquet and meeting rooms.

Travelling from Truro / New Glasgow
Take Exit 32 to Antigonish. At each roundabout, continue straight (north) onto Nova Scotia Trunk 7. Turn right onto Trans-Canada Hwy/NS-104 E at the first set of lights. Drive for approx 1 km. At the next set of lights turn left onto Church Street, drive for 200 m to the set of lights and turn right. The Claymore Inn is located next to the Antigonish Mall.
Travelling from Cape Breton
Take Exit 33 to Antigonish. At the roundabout, continue straight (north) onto Beech Hill Road. Turn left at the stop sign onto Trans-Canada Hwy/NS-104 W. Drive for approx 1 km and turn right onto Church Street at the first set of lights. Drive for 200 m and turn right at the set of lights. The Claymore Inn is located next to the Antigonish Mall.
Travelling from Halifax International Airport
Head north on Bell Boulevard Extension for 750m toward Silver Dart Dr. Keep right to stay on Bell Boulevard Extension for 1.1 km. Take the ramp onto NS-102 North (to Truro). Stay on the 102 North for 64.7 km, and then just past Truro, stay in the right lane and take exit 15E for Trans-Canada Highway/NS-104 E toward New Glasgow/Cape Breton/PEI Ferry Caribou. (There is just one exit, do not miss it, the left lane will take you towards New Brunswick.) Follow NS-104 E/Trans-Canada Hwy for 110 km. Take Exit 32 to Antigonish. At each roundabout, continue straight (north) onto Nova Scotia Trunk 7. Turn right onto Trans-Canada Hwy/NS-104 E at the first set of lights. Drive for approx 1 km. Travelling from Caribou (PEI Ferry Landing in Nova Scotia)
Head south on NS-106 S toward Ferry Rd. for 7.0 km. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit and stay on NS-106 S for 11.9 km. Take the Trans Canada Highway/NS-104 E ramp to New Glasgow/Cape Breton. Stay on the NS-104 E/Trans-Canada Hwy for 55.3 km. Take Exit 32 to Antigonish. At each roundabout, continue straight (north) onto Nova Scotia Trunk 7. Turn right onto Trans-Canada Hwy/NS-104 E at the first set of lights. Drive for approx 1 km. At the next set of lights turn left onto Church Street, drive for 200 m to the set of lights and turn right. The Claymore Inn is located next to the Antigonish Mall.
Travelling from Channel-Port-Aux Basques, Newfoundland
Take the Channel-Port-Aux Basques, NL – North Sydney, NS ferry to North Sydney entering Nova Scotia. Continue straight onto NS-105 W/Trans-Canada Hwy for 142 km. At the roundabout in Port Hastings, take the 2nd exit onto the Trans Canada Highway/NS-104 ramp to Canso Causeway/Antigonish, Continue for 45.1 km. Take Exit 33 to Antigonish. At the roundabout, continue straight (north) onto Beech Hill Road. Turn left at the stop sign onto Trans-Canada Hwy/NS-104 E. Drive for approx 1 km and turn right onto Church Street at the first set of lights. Drive for 200 m and turn right at the set of lights . The Claymore Inn is located next to the Antigonish Mall.
